Job DescriptionNorthland Community and Technical College seeks a full-time Librarian dedicated to excellence in teaching, who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community.The ideal candidate is a self-starter and creative problem-solver with exceptional organizational skills, high energy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to interpret and apply college policies and procedures are essential. The college Librarian does travel between both our campus locations; East Grand Forks and Thief River Falls, MN. Job Summary:Plan, coordinate, and oversee all library operations, services, and programs.Research, evaluate, and recommend the procurement of library resources, equipment, and systems.Coordinate the delivery of library services to students, faculty, and staff across both remote and on-campus settings.Serve as the college copywrite resource ensuring compliance with academic use.Manage the library budget, including expenditures, grants, and other funding sources.Administer and enhance the library's digital and online environments.Supervise and evaluate library personnel, providing leadership and professional development support.Monitor and assess the effectiveness of library services through continuous evaluation and improvement.Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and applicable college, state, and federal guidelines (e.g., ADA, Sections 504 and 508).Provide exceptional customer service to the campus community.Develop and support digital learning communities.Perform other duties as assigned.Salary Range:$43,067 - $94,542Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree in library science or equivalent degree.Preferred QualificationExperience with artificial intelligence in a higher education environmentFamiliarity and experience with digital literacyExperience/leadership of a Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populationsKnowledge of instructional methods, student assessment, and evaluation practicesExperience with curriculum development, assessment, and the effective integration of instructional technologiesFamiliarity with online learning platforms and digital tools to support student engagement and successAbility to integrate interdisciplinary approaches into teaching and learningOther Requirements** Must submit CV or resume, and unofficial transcripts.**Applicants that do not submit the required application materials (CV/Resume and Official Transcripts) will not be considered.In accordance with the Minnesota State?s Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MinnState?s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.NOTICE: The college regrets that it is unable to offer H-1B sponsorship.
